Bellabel Park, new multiplayer plazas, amiibo, and Switch 2 enhancements arrive March 26, 2026
Nintendo has shared additional details about Super Mario Bros. Wonder – Nintendo Switch 2 Edition + Meetup in Bellabel Park, including a confirmed release date of March 26, 2026.
Originally released in 2023, the Nintendo Switch 2 edition introduces new co-op and competitive gameplay elements to the Flower Kingdom, alongside additional content and enhancements exclusive to the new hardware.
Mario and friends will visit Bellabel Park, a new area featuring two large plazas packed with attractions where players can team up—or compete—across a variety of challenges.
Plaza Highlights
- Local Multiplayer Plaza features 17 different attractions playable with up to three friends on a single system. The game also supports GameShare, allowing one owner to share the game locally with up to three additional players.
- Game Room Plaza offers six attraction-style minigames that can be played locally or online with up to 12 players.
Additional Features
- Toad Brigade Training Camp – Bellabel Park includes challenge courses drawn from the main game, with more unlocking as you progress. Play solo or with up to three others and climb the Toad Brigade rankings.
- Assist Mode – Designed for newcomers, Assist Mode prevents damage and allows players to recover from falls without losing a life.
- Familiar Friends – Rosalina makes her Flower Kingdom debut in this edition. When playing with others, Luma joins as an assist character, helping defeat enemies and collect coins, with optional Switch 2 mouse-style controls.
- Mischievous Enemies – The Koopalings steal treasure from Bellabel Park and scatter across the Flower Kingdom. Encountering one now triggers a dedicated battle course.
Nintendo also revealed three new Wonder-themed amiibo—Elephant Mario, Poplin & Prince Florian, and Captain Toad & Talking Flower—which will launch alongside the Switch 2 edition on March 26.
Speaking of the Talking Flower, this chatty bloom will also be available as a real-world interactive product. It can speak freely or be activated at the press of a button, and even supports alarm functions like wake-up times and bedtime reminders—though Nintendo jokes it probably won’t talk in the middle of the night.
The Talking Flower launches March 12, 2026, and is available for pre-purchase now via My Nintendo Store.
