Balancing a Busy Weekend With a Growing Nintendo Switch 2 Backlog

There’s nothing quite like spending some quality time with a favorite game. With how limited free time can be during the week, weekends often feel like the only chance to really settle in and enjoy what we’re playing.

Over the past week, I’ve spent some of that time revisiting Mario Tennis on the Nintendo 64 Online service and Mario Tennis Aces on Nintendo Switch — part nostalgia, part preparation for Mario Tennis Fever, which launches this week.

Are you ready for the game to drop? Reviews and critiques for Mario Tennis Fever should start rolling out soon, and I’m hopeful the game earns some glowing praise.

This weekend, however, has been a busy one for me. Between running a 5K, tackling homework assignments, laser tag, and the Super Bowl (go Seahawks), I admittedly haven’t had much time to dig into my gaming backlog. As I’ve mentioned before, balancing daily life with a gaming hobby isn’t always easy.

There’s no shortage of games I want to play on the Nintendo Switch 2 — from revisiting The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim in celebration of The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Remastered being announced during the Nintendo Direct Partner Showcase, to finally finishing The Legend of Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom. This may just be one of those weekends where the backlog doesn’t move much — and that’s okay.

One of the best things about the Nintendo Switch 2 is that there’s never a shortage of games worth jumping into. So, which titles are you hoping to knock off your backlog this weekend? Let us know in the comments!
