What to Expect from Nintendo’s Latest Third-Party Showcase

News

Nintendo has been on a roll lately with Nintendo Directs and other announcements, and they don’t appear to be slowing down anytime soon. Nintendo confirmed via Nintendo Today that a Nintendo Direct: Partner Showcase will air tomorrow at the following times:

  • North America: 6am PST / 7am MST / 8am CST / 9am EST
  • UK & Ireland: 2pm GMT
  • Europe: 3pm CET / 4pm EET
  • Asia & Oceania: 11pm JST / 10pm AWST / 1am (Friday) AEDT

This will be the third Nintendo Direct in the last two weeks, and we’re not complaining.

The Partner Showcase will feature roughly 30 minutes of updates on third-party games coming to Nintendo Switch and Nintendo Switch 2. It’s also exciting to see continued mention of the Switch, which recently surpassed the Nintendo DS to become Nintendo’s best-selling system of all time.

Deeper Analysis

Because this is a Partner Showcase, players shouldn’t expect major first-party announcements. Nintendo will reveal those when it’s ready. That said, there are several third-party titles that feel overdue for updates, including The Duskbloods and Elden Ring. With the added power of the Switch 2, ports feel far more likely, and AAA third-party games should very much be part of the conversation.

Realistically, this Direct seems aimed at players curious about what Switch 2’s third-party support might look like in its early life. Expect ports, performance upgrades, and a few “nice surprises” that could help sweeten the case for picking up Nintendo’s next system.

That said, it’s genuinely impossible to predict exactly what we’ll see—which is part of the fun. I’d love to hear your guesses and predictions ahead of the Direct. Personally, I’ve got my fingers crossed for Planet Zoo and Planet Coaster 2.
