The latest Super Mario Galaxy Movie trailer introduces Yoshi, classic power-ups, and a closer look at the upcoming film
Nintendo treated fans to a brief Nintendo Direct this morning, where Shigeru Miyamoto introduced a brand-new trailer for the Super Mario Galaxy Movie.
In the trailer, Mario and Luigi race across a desert landscape toward a mysterious, malfunctioning pipe, where they discover a frightened Yoshi in need of help. The footage also highlights several familiar power-ups that Mario and Luigi will use throughout the film, including the Fire Flower and the Frog Suit. A surprise appearance from Birdo added an extra dose of fan service.
With animation now complete and the film officially in post-production, fans won’t have to wait much longer. The Super Mario Galaxy Movie is set to hit theaters on April 1, 2026.
Yoshi has been a significant part of Mario’s adventures for over 40 years, and excitement is high to finally see the beloved green dinosaur fully realized on the big screen.
