A Complete Look at the Confirmed Pokémon Roster and New Variants

Pokémon Pokopia is unlike traditional Pokémon games, where you catch Pokémon on a journey to become the very best Trainer. In Pokémon Pokopia, you are a Pokémon.

As you explore the world of Pokémon Pokopia, you’ll encounter a wide variety of Pokémon along the way. Below is the complete list of Pokémon Pokopia confirmed Pokémon so far, based on trailers and officially released information.

While we won’t know the full Pokémon Pokopia roster until launch—arriving just in time for Pokémon’s 30th anniversary on March 5, 2026—you shouldn’t expect all 1,000+ Pokémon to appear in the game.

All-New Pokémon Variants in Pokémon Pokopia

Alongside returning Pokémon, Pokémon Pokopia introduces several brand-new Pokémon variants. These don’t appear to function like regional forms and instead seem to act as important characters within the game’s story.

So far, four new Pokémon Pokopia variants have been revealed:

Professor Tangrowth
Professor Tangrowth, the guide Pokémon confirmed in Pokémon Pokopia

Serving as your guide throughout Pokémon Pokopia, Professor Tangrowth is unlike any Tangrowth we’ve seen before. With white vines atop its head, broken glasses, and what appears to be a TM attached, this scholarly Pokémon immediately stands out.

Peakychu
Peakychu, the mysterious Pikachu Pokemon confirmed in Pokemon Pokopia

One of the most mysterious Pokémon Pokopia variants revealed so far, Peakychu resembles a pale Pikachu with droopy ears and a noticeably smaller tail. It’s incredibly adorable, and we’re eager to learn more about Peakychu as new details emerge.

Mosslax
Mosslax, the moss coated snorlax Pokemon confirmed in Pokemon Pokopia

Mosslax looks like a Snorlax that slept for so long it became one with nature. Covered entirely in moss, this Pokémon appears perfectly at peace. If Mosslax were a regional form, it would almost certainly be Grass-type. It’ll be interesting to see what role Mosslax plays in Pokémon Pokopia.

Smearguru

How do you make Smeargle even more adorable? Cover it in paint. Smearguru sports splashes of red, blue, yellow, and green alongside its usual brown and white coloring, fully embracing its artistic side. It’s great to see Smeargle getting some long-overdue love.

We’ll continue updating this Pokémon Pokopia confirmed Pokémon list as new trailers and information are released.
